Scope of Position:

You will be a member of a cross-functional engineering team that brings concept to reality for R&D labs and pilot operations. Working closely with scientists and engineers, you will help transform ideas into equipment designs and fully functional machine systems. You will assist engineers with implementing solutions for moderate and complex problems providing focused engineering assistance to the R&D technical community.

Day to Day
Responsibilities:

Maintain and administer department drawing management system and CAD systems.

Assist with determining CAD system specification requirements and coordinating system upgrades.

Work directly with engineers and technicians in support of ongoing research and development projects.

Perform basic equipment and component design, generate detailed drawings utilizing CAD, and develop parts and material lists.

Perform field measurements to ensure accurate equipment layouts.

Create and maintain project documentation to consistently meet defined standards.

Assist with setup of prototype testing to validate design concepts.

Prepare requests for quotation and submit purchase requisitions.

Interface with internal and external suppliers to specify and procure machine components and fixtures.

Maintain records and track expenditures against allocated funds.

Assist with directing the installation of equipment and mechanical services.

Travel Requirements:
Minimal Travel, primarily for vendor evaluation, vendor interface, training, etc.

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
Typically 40 hours per week, M-F, but can require more dependent on project needs.

Education and
Experience:
Two year Mechanical Engineering or CAD technical degree. Minimum 2 years equipment design and mechanical detail experience.

Required Skills:

Skilled in use of SolidWorks and AutoCad.

Understand requirements for complete drawing documentation; assembly drawings, detail drawings, bill of materials, and component lists.

Hands on experience with mechanical systems.

Work effectively in fast paced environment.

Strong organizational skills.

Results oriented with attention to detail.

High commitment level.

Desired Skills:

Basic understanding of piping schematics.

General understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Ability to grasp how individual tasks fit into and affect overall work assignments.

Soft Skills:

Open and engaging.

Good communication skills.

Works well independently and in teams.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
