SUMMARY / SCOPE OF POSITION

  • MT&E Knowledge Management Manager will be a leader with excellent communication & relationship building skills to grow, enhance and drive use of MT&E knowledge management solutions to improve the capture, retrieval, growth, leverage and protection of MT&E knowledge.
    This role will ensure controls are in place to protect all business information MT&E handles at the highest level.
    This role requires engagement and collaboration across Corning businesses and functions including Corning Information Security, Global Security, IT, Law Dept and HR teams to address risks, ensure compliance and drive improvements.

ROLES AND
Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage with Corning Information Security, Global Security, IT, Law Dept and Corning businesses to report information security risks, provide feedback to shape information security enterprise policy, standards and tool roadmap, and identify solutions to securely capture, retrieve, grow and leverage MT&E knowledge.
  • Ensure alignment of MT&E information security and knowledge management policy, standards and processes with Corning Information Security, Global Security, IT, Law Dept and business unit policy and standards.
    Review changes with MT&E leadership for approval.
  • Proactively engage with business unit information security / intellectual asset protection managers to identify best practices, common goals and collaboration opportunities.
  • Ensure effective monitoring and analysis of MT&E data using Corning Data Loss Prevention tools to identify trends and policy / process improvements.
    Report information security risks to MT&E leadership to gain support for mitigation measures.
  • Escalate information security incidents to Corning Security when appropriate for investigation.
    Provide leadership updates, inform & engage with businesses whose information was compromised, HR, Law Dept, Corning Information Security.
    Identify short- and long-term solutions to mitigate risks identified, ensure timely actions completed to mitigate risk, and drive investigations to closure.
  • Maintain, develop and deploy regular information security communications, training and awareness materials to drive MT&E workforce compliance with company and business information security policy, standards and processes.
  • Maintain and improve MT&E knowledge management strategy, processes, templates and tools to support MT&E use cases to improve the capture, retrieval, growth, leverage and protection of MT&E knowledge.
  • Proactively engage with IT to understand Corning s knowledge/collaboration tool solution roadmap and adapt MT&E knowledge management solutions to work effectively in the new environments, understand the value / use cases of Corning enterprise tools, and communicate the benefits to MT&E workforce.
  • Drive improvements in search to improve secure access to content across multiple company resources and platforms.
    Identify collaborative opportunities within Corning to pilot / test advanced search solutions at low cost.
  • Plan and host MT&E Knowledge Management monthly training series, ensure relevant and timely topics for global MT&E audience, sign up speakers, communicate and disseminate materials.
  • Maintain, develop and deploy regular MT&E Knowledge Management communications, training and awareness materials to drive adoption of solutions.
  • Lead discussions with project teams to adapt MT&E folder structure for the project and define best practices for the team.
  • Lead / coordinate discussions with Corning Information Security, IT and MT&E stakeholders to define engineering knowledge management and collaboration use cases, participate in proof of concept and pilots to identify leading edge solutions that improve MT&Es ability to support Corning s existing and emerging businesses.
  • Identify knowledge management best practices across MT&E, recognize good behaviors and share best practices across MT&E to drive culture change
  • Define annual information security and knowledge management objectives, gain MT&E leadership support to drive compliance across global MT&E, track/measure compliance and report results / lessons learned to leadership quarterly.
  • Lead matrixed team to ensure consistent adoption of MT&E information security and knowledge management strategy and processes globally.

  • Experienced in developing and deploying Information Security policies and procedures and associated tactical plans to deliver targeted results.
  • Ability to quickly assess situations, identify gaps and potential solutions.

  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management.

EDUCATION &
Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Security, Information Science or equivalent and +15 years experience
