Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):

Quality/ Process engineer responsible for determining, documenting and maintaining best practices for Cleanroom, Washing and Metrology processes. Able to establish and maintain shop best practices including:
equipment maintenance, tool setup and calibration, quality systems and checks, and metrology. Able to interact with scientists, project engineers, process technicians, external suppliers. Leading new equipment specification and selection. New process development/ optimization of processes for new and existing materials.

Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Working with process technicians and customers to determine the best methods and processes for characterization of glass, metal and ceramic samples . Also troubleshooting equipment and process problems and assisting with equipment capability and reliability. Determine proper sampling and inspection procedures to ensure quality requirements are met and assist with quality and process audits. Ensure cleanroom and washing process parameters are within specification and identify and resolve issues outside of specification.

Travel Requirements (please note if international):
Minimal, occasional trade show or training

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
Typically, 8-5 flexible, support off shift operations as needed

Required Skills (These are skills that candidates MUST possess)

1. BS in Engineering

2. Strong troubleshooting skills/ hands-on

3. Able to work with customers, process techs, outside supplier and vendors, and other engineers

4. Safety focus

5. Able to identify problems and effectively deliver solutions.

Desired Skills (These are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess)

1. Knowledge of metrology systems. Understanding measurement system capabilities vs. customer requirements.

2. Quality systems experience

3. Cleanroom operations experience

4. Familiar with process engineering tools:
Process Control and Discipline, Kepner Tregoe

5. Statistical experience and software knowledge (MSA, Gauge R&R, DOE)

Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration) BS Engineering

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
