Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):

This position is responsible for promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all Sullivan Park Employees. The Environmental Safety and Health Engineer will help drive community culture of continuous improvement in overall environmental, health and safety performance with a goal of attaining an interdependent culture. Duties include leading/implementing and communicating safety programs and policies. He / she will develop, implement and enforce site specific programs to maintain compliance with laws, codes and regulations.

Day to Day
Responsibilities:

Manage safety and health programs develop/lead and implement (i.e. Lock out Tag out, Electrical Safety, Chemical Safety, Confined Space, Management of Change etc.)

Oversight of processes & innovation activities to ensure they are aligned with safety and health standards and regulations.

Acts as a safety, health and environmental SME and supports technology community.

Leads investigation of work-related injuries in conjunction with supervisors/managers and facilitates corrective action planning to prevent reoccurrence.

Performs analysis and recommends improvements to equipment and processes.

Uses knowledge of OSHA Laboratory Standard to assist research community to maintain safe work Environment.

Conduct chemical safety reviews including risk assessments and exposure calculations.

Perform internal safety assessments and participate in corporate safety assessments.

Assist Environmental and Safety staff with Change Management activities and action closure.

Provide communication, training and awareness to all levels of leadership and employees on safety & health requirements

Implement a continuous improvement methodology to improve upon site safety & health policies and programs which address ever changing technology, risks and hazards

Establish strategies to increase employee involvement with execution of safety and risk management programs

Travel Requirements (please note if international):
Minimal - 5%

Hours of work/work schedule/flextime:
Monday - Friday, Standard business hours

Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration) Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or technical degree in related field 10
years experience

Effective at communicating across varying payroll levels.

Ability to listen to and gain process understanding from Scientists, Engineers, Peers and Operators.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
