Day to Day
Responsibilities:

  • Manage new equipment design projects to ensure timely drawing completion, material sourcing, fabrication, testing, shipment, and installation/commissioning.
  • Comprehend and apply sound engineering principles in the design of thermally functioning process equipment.
  • Application of engineering principles primarily in the fields of mechanical design, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
    Use of numerical and physical modeling.
  • Collaboration with scientists and process experts as part of the engineering process.
  • Collaboration with manufacturing operations to further define and receive new and modified process equipment.
  • Observe and define incremental process equipment improvements.
  • Lead design teams, conduct manufacturing experiments, evaluate vendors, etc
  • Equipment installation supervision and on-site commissioning as required.

Travel Requirements:

  • Estimate travel; up to 50% depending upon specific project assignment.
    Domestic and International.

Required Education and Years of
Experience:

  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Material Science, or Civil Engineering.
    Chemical may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years in equipment engineering or similar

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of mechanical design, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
  • Strong desire and commitment to learn Corning s thermal processes.
  • Results oriented; delivery of tasks to project schedules.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work in a global environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of modeling for flow, thermal, and structural analysis, etc.
  • Experience with Solid Works, AutoCAD, Fluent, ANSYS, COMSOL, GOMA, etc
  • Communication and presentation skills.
    Ability to communicate across research, development, engineering, commercial, and operations worldwide.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
