The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
This role is for the Strategic and day to day management of one of ITs largest partners. This person will interface daily with Corning, our Partner, and our Global Supply Management group. The purpose of the role is to maximize the relationship and contract to ensure a successful long term engagement that meets or exceeds Cornings requirements. In order to be seen as successful, Corning and their partner(s) will need to meet or exceed defined performance metrics, the goals of the original business case, as well as support Cornings growth objectives.
Provide expertise on the details of the contract and ensure we are optimizing the contract for current and future needs
Provide a central point of knowledge for utilization of this Partner, including sharing of knowledge with the organization.
Manage the Scope Changes and SOWs by partnering with our Project, Engineering, and Global Supply Chain groups.
Lead the optimization of Corning processes to incorporate this partner.
Work closely with our Service Line Management group to understand and drive improvements in services by utilization of our partner.
Work closely with our Service Operations group and assist with needed escalations of any performance issues.
Cover the Strategic Vendor Relationship responsibilities for this partner.
o Account Leader
o Schedule and Lead Business Reviews including Vendor Governance and Executive Reviews.
o Complete any needed satisfaction surveys as necessary.
o Ensure correct reporting of metrics and feedback.
o Escalations of issues/ Interface with Corning resources and partner as needed
o Lead long term Strategy for utilization of partner.
Travel Requirements:
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40 +
Required Education:
Bachelors in a technical degree, preferably Computer Science Related. MBA would be beneficial
