Scope of the Position:
The Solution Architecture Group is seeking an exceptional professional possessing strong leadership characteristics to join our team as a ServiceNow Solutions Architect.
The ideal Solutions Architect candidate will primarily operate independently in satisfying defined objectives and corporate strategic goals. Candidate must possess deep subject matter expertise in Information Technology Service Management principles, ITIL concepts, and enterprise architecture. The ServiceNow Solution Architect will be expected to develop direction for Information Technology Service Management technologies with strategic alignment to the needs of the enterprise by working in conjunction with Enterprise Architects and IT Leadership.
The ServiceNow Solution Architect will define architecture road maps, solution standards, and processes/procedures which align closely with business strategy and provide the most effective combination of business fit and strategic direction. Additionally, selected candidate will be responsible for communicating key decisions and direction related to ServiceNow and ITSM architecture to IT Leadership and the enterprise.

Long-term technology planning: 10 -15%
Technology Effectiveness confirmation and execution 70 80%
Enterprise level Leadership and Influence: 10- 15%
Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain architecture roadmap for applications and architecture components for ServiceNow and more broadly the (ITSM) Information Technology Service Management platform.
Partner with IT and business stakeholders across the enterprise to provide input into the development and execution of the ServiceNow (ITSM) strategy.
Develop design principles, design patterns, position papers, and proof-of-concepts to define technology and capability direction in alignment with enterprise architecture vision.
Ensure that delivery of ServiceNow or ITSM projects is in alignment with enterprise technology direction and business strategy.
Communicate and reinforce Cornings/IT/enterprise architecture team goals, policies and procedures to all of IT as appropriate.
Coach/mentor members of IT as necessary. Align with and influence teams to grow/enterprise architecture skills.
Continuously expand breadth and depth of technology expertise to include applied research.
Maintain relationships with key vendors to understand the market trends and direction of associated technologies
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience with the ServiceNow platform.
Minimum of five years of experience as a solution architect or equivalent demonstration of leadership in deploying ITSM solutions via ServiceNow is desired.
Extensive experience with the following ITSM concepts and the following ServiceNow platform modules is desired: Incident Management; Asset Management; Change Management; Knowledge Management; Service Level/Catalogue; Management; Problem Management; CMDB; and Service Management Design and Automation.
Ability to drive results through strong communication skills at all staff levels.
Demonstrated success working collaboratively with individuals and teams across the enterprise. This includes executives and key stakeholders. Ability to provide influence and consensus through leadership and group facilitation is a must.
Proven ability to effectively communicate with Business Unit and IT Management blending technical and non-technical perspectives and discuss complex concepts in simple terms.
Candidate should exhibit the ability to grasp big picture concepts by demonstrating/creating and communicating solution roadmaps with the organization.
Highly motivated individual who can work independently with limited oversight.
