The global Finance Function acts as a proactive business partner, advising and making recommendations based upon financial projections and historical performance. Finance also provides financial expertise companywide and ensures accurate and efficient transaction processing.
Position Description:
Serves as a consultant to plant finance community on financial processes, accounting policy, control procedures, system use, and sharing of best practices. Addresses temporary financial resource needs of businesses by serving as Plant Controller or within multiple Division roles for terms of two weeks to six months, as needed. Provides ad-hoc financial analysis for corporate leadership and for division management. Leads financial projects impacting individual business units or the finance function as a whole, especially in the context of forecasting, planning, and the use of the Khalix system.
Key
Responsibilities:
Participates in and/or leads Site Process Optimization and Transformation (SPOT) reviews.
Assists with manufacturing accounting, cost tracking, and the drive to lowest cost manufacturer across the function
Performs modeling, analysis and reporting of financial data
Serves as an expert in system use, Excel, and manufacturing cost modeling
Acts as a temporary resource to the finance function on an as needed basis
Provides ongoing Finance expertise and support to Plant Controllers across the function
Conducts training as needed in the areas of Excel, Khalix for Excel and manufacturing accounting topics
Education &
Experience:
Required:
Bachelors degree (4 years) in Accounting/Finance
Knowledge of and 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment
Experience working on cross functional teams to solve complex business problems
GAAP and cost accounting expertise
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Cross cultural articulation working effectively in a global environment
Ability to be comfortable interacting and communicating with all aspects of the business, including plant staff and senior managers.
Sound cross functional skills (i.e. marketing, operations management, supply chain)
Strong computer skills; proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint & forecasting tools
Ability to act under pressure in fast-paced environment
Good analytical skills and problem solving capability
Desired:
CPA/CMA
MBA
5 - 7 years of prior plant controller experience
Working experience with Corning general ledger systems, i.e. PeopleSoft, SAP
Working experience with Khalix Forecasting tool
Performance Excellence knowledge (Six Sigma, lean processes)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
