Day to Day
Responsibilities:
The IT Controller role is part of Cornings IT Finance team and provides accounting and financial support to Cornings IT Service Delivery organization.
Participation on IT Service Delivery staff Engage with IT Service Delivery leadership team, facilitate IT Model, learn and help to educate organization about fundamental accounting processes, understand software accounting requirements, resolve accounting questions, present financial results, interact with Cornings technical finance team on IT issues, and identify and help implement process improvement opportunities. 6-8 hour meetings on a bi-weekly basis; Finance leader for IT Service Delivery; solid-line reporting to IT Business Controller and dotted-line reporting to Director of IT Service Delivery.
Bi-weekly staff meetings; 2-4 regional review meetings (alternating Asia-Pacific and Europe); also occasional planning/strategy/offsite meetings, ad hoc meetings when needed.
ITSD Cost and Recovery Manage cost and recovery accounting processes for ITSD; provide oversight to recovery mechanisms; primary linkage with IT Service Management organization for financial support; accounting guidance, and issues resolution.
Participation with Cost Management staff Full engagement with IT Service Delivery cost management team, support of financial analysis, portfolio and cost management initiatives. Cost review meetings, SLA volume review meetings and planning.
Forecast Drive IT Service Delivery internal forecast process; facilitate reporting and target review process.
IT Gross Functional Cost Manage standard IT Gross Functional Cost reporting processes which include quarterly and annual 5-year planning and budget processes.
Net Bill Process Owner Calculation of quarterly Net Bill and key liaison with Legal Entity Controllers, Cost Management, and Asia contacts on Net Bill and asset issues.
Projects involved with:
Managed Services Transition IT Service Delivery has launched a multi-year program to move a large portion of the infrastructure processes and systems to a managed services provider. This change will affect IT's current portfolio of spending and result in changes to many existing processes. This position will provide financial support, participation on the project team including data gathering and financial analysis, and change management efforts. Key liaison between Operations and Finance to support new Managed Service Provider model.
Annual SLA Process Review primary finance contact and support; document and identify improvement opportunities for IT Finance participation in the SLA process along with clarification of IT Finance roles and responsibilities.

Travel Requirements: Some international travel is required
Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance
Experience: 7-10 years relevant experience
Required Skills:
Strong PC based skills; proficiency in Excel
Ability to analyze and interpret data and financial results
Good presentation skills and problem solving capability
Strong process focus
Strong interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of PeopleSoft financial systems.
In depth working experience with Khalix
Performance Excellence knowledge (Six Sigma, lean processes)
Advanced Excel skills
Soft Skills:
Ability to meet deadlines and leverage skills across teams and organizations
Strong interpersonal & communication skills to build relationships with project and department managers, as well as within finance team and senior financial leadership.
Comfortable challenging existing processes
Experience working on cross- functional teams to solve complex business problems

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
