Scope of Position:
Develop process and process equipment, including appropriate measurements, controls and process understanding, spanning the Advanced Engineering core capabilities. This could include laser processing, measurements and systems development,
Support all Corning business divisions, all stages of product innovation from research and development to manufacturing. Emphasis will likely be on early process/measurement systems development.
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Process development and engineering of laser processes and its technology delivery.
Identify and develop measurements and controls needs for new processes and process development.
Support laser processing group through the work on projects that require laser processing, technology delivery for new laser processing systems and provide innovative solutions based on laser processing results.
Lead startup of new designs/processes.
Lead laser processing system solutions deployment within businesses.
Work interactively with people across all organizations (RD&E and M).
Lead project teams.
Required Education:
BS in Engineering
Required Years and Area of
Experience:
10
years experience in process engineering and process development. Experience in developing measurements, controls, and laser processes a strong plus.
Required Skills:
Experimental planning and rigorous implementation of designed experiments
Rigorous problem solving Proficient in the use of DOE, SPC, Six Sigma and other process control/analysis techniques.
Measurements and measurement equipment expertise
Desired Skills:
Industrial
Experience: Laser processing experience specific to glass processing.
Laser processing systems integration
Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills effective at interacting and communicating across varying payroll levels.
Able to work in a team environment to solve problems or produce a product.
Confident presentation skills that convince customers and management of technical direction ability to tailor message to the audience.
Travel Requirements: Project dependent, typically
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40 hrs, Monday-Friday; flexible schedule possible

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
