Scope of Position:
Lead the development, design, validation, and project management of packaging projects, to include new packaging designs, material conversion/ down gauging, cost savings, quality improvement, while supporting cross-functional initiatives.
Identify, assess and implement new opportunities / projects through frequent interaction with cross-functional teams and outside material suppliers to ensure that product attributes are being met on a consistent basis. Align cost savings projects with manufacturing facilities to achieve plant and Division goals. Build and sustain packaging strategy for the Corporation.
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Support Corporate, Division & Plant driven packaging initiatives with technical expertise to compliment current division & plant resources.
Assist plant personnel for the specifications, acceptance and validation of new packaging materials, product, equipment, and processes.
Lead/ manage project resources to achieve required objectives. Effectively implement all phases of project methodologies to include appropriate initiation, planning, implementation and control, and close-out elements.
Establish overall project plans (scope, schedule, cost estimates, project acceptance criteria, procurement/contracting strategy, risk management, etc).
Prepare documentation of packaging designs on new and existing products.
Provide packaging leadership / technical expertise and project support to all functions of the business.
Share expertise and knowledge to foster continuous improvement of the organization (project team or functional unit).
Regularly and effectively communicate and update project key issues, status of completion and financial forecasts with project customers
Travel Requirements: 50%, including International Travel
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: M-F 40 hrs.
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science in Packaging Science. MS degree in Packaging Science preferred.
Required Years and Area of
Experience:
With 5
years of experience working in manufacturing related packaging.
Required Skills:
Familiar and experienced with a wide range of packaging systems and materials typically found in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with running line trials, packaging validations and damage analysis.
Proven leadership skills and ability to manage complex projects and problem solving activities.
Ability to design and/or prototype packaging using CAD/ Solidworks or equivalent software. Ability to launch new packaging cross-functionally from beginning stages to plant implementation.
Desired Skills:
Proficient in Six-Sigma, Lean manufacturing, DOE experience, ASTM & ISTA testing, TOPS, CAD (Solidworks), and interpreting drawings.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
