Digital Services Specialist I:
The Digital Services Department is responsible for providing quality member service to the credit union's staff and members, as well as carrying out the daily operational responsibilities of servicing deposit accounts and member records.
JOB DUTIES:
Proficient in supporting VISA debit and credit portfolio.
Activities include, but are not limited to card related processing, resolving member related issues, mobile wallet applications, ATM adjustments, and possible merchant interface.
Support staff with Instant Issue Card questions and issues.
Proficient in internal systems that support the credit union's operations such as Image Center, Alert Center, ChexSystems, Meridian Link, Synergy, eSign, DocuSign, Cash Recyclers, ATMs, and others as assigned.
Process/balance Remote Deposit Items as scheduled.
Complete AVS/SSA requests in a timely manner.
Provide end user support to staff and members, and open help desk tickets as needed.
Proficient in daily processing of ACH activity, Share Draft reconciliation and exceptions, and Payroll activity.
Participate in research and discussion regarding Wire requests.
Maintain and manage IRA products within Episys Core and Ascensus including maintaining a clean database, daily review of IRA transactions, and processing death claims.
Be a resource to all staff for IRA related questions.
Conduct quality control assessment of all new and modified accounts in accordance with BSA/CIP policies.
Track and monitor progress of outstanding issues in a timely fashion and work closely with front line staff to mediate all issues.
This includes working with retail team to close out accounts that have never been funded, and review/process all daily and monthly account and deposit related reports.

Experience:
Up to six months of similar or related experience including time spent in similar or preparatory positions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
A high school degree or GED is required.
Interpersonal Skills:

Physical Requirements:
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Must be able to operate routine offi ce equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
