Faith Formation Coordinator
All Saints Parish All Saints Parish Corning, NY Corning, NY Full-time Full-time $18 - $20 an hour $18 - $20 an hour 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago All Saints Parish, Corning, NY is seeking a full-time (35 hours per week) non-exempt Coordinator or Faith Formation.
This position requires working frequent evenings and weekends.
The Coordinator of Faith Formation will be responsible for:
Overseeing all Parish religious education programs, Children's Liturgy of the Word, and Sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation.
Recruit, train, and support all volunteers involved in programs.
Supervise a part-time Office Assistant who gives support to both the Faith Formation office and Parish office, and all volunteers involved in any of our Formation activities.
Oversees the Creating A Safe Environment (CASE) training, documentation, and reporting procedures for the Parish.
This is accomplished by working directly with the Office Assistant and Ministry Leaders to assure all volunteers are following CASE directives.
Maintain office records such as attendance, expenses, Catechists training, and Sacramental records.
Expected to attend staff meetings in the Parish and regionally, as well as Diocesan meetings and activities offered by the Dept.
Of Evangelization and Catechists, throughout the year.
Qualifications:
Applicant should (minimally) be certified as a Catechetical Coordinator or be willing to become certified.
They should have strong technological and organizational skills.
They should be able to lead and motivate children and work collaboratively with parents and other staff members.
Training and Development:
Professional Developemnt training is available and provided by the Diocesan office of Evangelization and Catechesis, both online and in-person.
