Scope of Position:
In this role, you will identify new businesses that leverage glass, ceramics, or optics, which are Corning's core materials. You will work with key Corning personnel to create a vision for the new businesses and determine the optimal teams and resources required to build them. This is a front-end innovation pipeline role. We look for you to define value propositions clearly and concisely and work closely with research and development and the market access platforms to align on strategic direction. Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Take opportunities through our innovation pipeline Vet ideas to find ones that could work Prepare and communicate plans and progress to key stakeholders With Finance, create a proforma Financials that ties to the business plan and critical path milestones Account management for external engagements Plan and assist in building attractive and profitable businesses Pricing and contract negotiation Utilizing Corning AI Tool, seek out and scout for new opportunities Leadership:
Employ an intrapreneurial mindset and grow the business with a sense of urgency Be able to work entrepreneurially within the confines of a Fortune 500 Company; utilize world-class resources to achieve goals within constraints of time, talent and treasure Use sound judgment based on good data to balance maximizing short-term and long-term revenue and profit for Corning optimized for each application segment Build a fit for purpose organizations capable of executing on the critical path milestones Define the business strategy options and communicate plan Travel Requirements:

Bachelors of Science in a technical field required. Prefer MBA and/or PhD. In Engineering or sciences. Required Years and Area of
Experience:
Minimum of 10
years within business development, product development, or product strategy and launch required. Required Skills:
A successful track record as a building of businesses, i.e. entrepreneurial and/or intrapreneurial experience Demonstrated ability to gain deep technical understanding of products and markets. Strong customer facing and presentation skills. Work experience in a Commercial team environment. Experience securing binding commitments from customers. Strong Business Strategic Agility. Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:
Financial analysis and accounting experience. Ability to deliver competitive offerings used by the customer and the technical benefits of switching to Corning products. Soft Skills/Critical Competencies:

Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Business DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
