Summary:
The QAQC Technician/Trainer conducts quality assurance inspections, quality control inspections, company prepared safety inspections and assist with hands-on delivery of operator qualification training.

Duties/Responsibilities Conduct daily QAQC inspections on company employees Conduct daily QAQC inspections on contractors Conduct QAQC inspections on company documentation Communicate all QAQC results with responsible department managers Conduct daily safety audits Conduct root cause analysis investigations on failures and pipeline damages Perform building safety inspections Perform self-contained breathing apparatus inspections Distribute PPE when appropriate Assist during emergencies Assist in accident investigations Assist in the delivery of hands-on operator qualification training Assist in the development of hands-on operator qualification training Contact with Others and Community Assist with public education events Assist with damage prevention training events Assist with first responder training events Assist with operator qualification task trainings Interact with customers/customer complaints Additional Functions To serve on committees, as appropriate Represent the Corning Natural Gas in a professional manner To meet the requirements per federal code, state code and company operations and construction standards KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree Minimum of one year of utility experience Subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing NGA Operator Qualifications are preferred, but not required WORK ENVIRONMENT The position operates in a field environment.
The position will be responsible for responding to pipeline damages, field inspections and public education/awareness events.
The position requires minimal office work.
POSITION TYPE AND ANTICIPATED HOURS This is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:
30pm.
Hours can vary based on the needs and schedule of the Corning Natural Gas.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This position requires daily field travel.
This position requires a monthly travel to inspect/train employees at the Leatherstocking Gas and Pike County Light & Power companies.
