Purpose of Position
The Data Privacy Program Manager will lead the efforts to create an effective framework to maintain and update compliance with data privacy laws in regions outside of EMEA. This includes conducting privacy assessments, identifying data privacy requirements and gaps, completion of actions to mitigate gaps and risks, and identifying areas of improvement.
Helps to ensure Cornings compliance to applicable Data Privacy legislation in Asia, Mexico, and South America.
Uses extensive knowledge in global privacy practices to develop compliance strategies.
May identify areas of improvement in local practices relative to managing Data Privacy
Works as an active member of the Global Data Privacy office; addressing privacy impact assessments and identified assignments, building the global network of privacy contacts and driving program objectives.
Participates on the Data Privacy team.
Interfaces with IT to ensure requirements for the Privacy Impact Assessment Process is being performed
Builds and develops the expertise of the privacy professionals across Corning.
Perform regular privacy assessments of operational processes, identifying and mitigating any risks for Corning.
Use privacy expertise to drive Cornings global privacy strategy development identifying key focus areas and propose multi-year plans.
Required Skills:
Professional Training / Education
B.S. Degree in Business or Information technology
5 10 years of work experience in a Support Function environment
Special Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of Corning Incorporated, particularly, businesses operating in Asia and South America
Ability to lead significant project efforts effectively

Ability to act and lead within a multi-national team
Flexible and willing to do up to 25% business travel

Project Management experience and/or certification

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
