Scope of Position:
Senior measurement and inspection engineer with hands-on experience in measurement & inspection development activities is a must. The ideal candidate will have a broad experience base including several of the following: CPU/GPU/Microcontroller programming, application software development, mechanical design, electronic design, optics design, and design of machine vision systems. Technical curiosity, flexible schedules, strong organization and good communication skills will be in high demand.
Responsibilities:
Work with a variety of cross functional groups to define, develop and improve high quality inspection systems that meet demanding project requirements, adhere to budget constraints and allow for efficient manufacturing
Define Scope of Work, competitively quote, issue purchase orders, track supplier work
Transfer technology from early stage development to a product suitable for use in manufacturing.
Leverage external suppliers for key technologies or core competencies such as system integration
Design experiments and analyze data to identify and implement improvements to measurement systems or production processes
Design and directly or indirectly implement software systems for data analysis, machine behaviors and
Create/update documentation and training for release to production including machine specifications, operating, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures and drawing packages.
Lead design reviews as required for projects and requested by management
Develop test plans and participate in inspection equipment and system integration testing
Coordinate with installation teams and assist in field installations or troubleshooting as required
Develop and maintain CDT standards for data and data structures associated with inspection equipment
Contribute to inspection technology strategies and roadmaps for CDT
Travel:
Up to 30% travel, including international
Required Education:
Engineering or Computer Science Degree (EE, AE, ME, IE, CS, CSE), Masters Preferred
2-10 Years of Relevant Experience
Required Skills:
Machine Vision system development (lighting, cameras, image analysis, software)
Experience in process and equipment engineering, design of experiments, statistical analysis and process improvement
Ability to interface IT database architectures and process data analysis tools
Systems Engineering, (requirements management, system design)
Strong software development and database skills (e.g. C, C#, VB.Net, Java, SQL, LabView)
Strong database skills with SQL
MES systems experience
Desired Skills:
Proficiency in Japanese and/or Chinese (Mandarin)
Manufacturing experience in a plant environment
Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or PostGreSQL
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership skills, including providing and receiving direction
International experience and willingness to travel internationally
Ability to handle multi-functional responsibility with a high level of multi-tasking
Ability to learn quickly and work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including office programs)
Ability to work well across disciplines (process, equipment, IT)
Ability to plan upfront, communicate issues and execute solutions efficiently
Ability to work in a diverse environment

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
