Scope of Position:
Provide financial leadership for the Erwin Diesel Plant (DN), as well as, the plant finance department in meeting all financial and managerial
accounting
requirements. The DN plant is in the Corning Environmental Division and manufactures pollution abatement products for the Heavy Duty Diesel market.
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Lead the finance function for the Erwin Diesel Plant (DN), and be a key member and decision maker of the
management
staff.
Proactively utilize business partnership skills to move the plant to better cost understanding and higher profitability.
Analyze and report on key plant operational and accounting metrics. Present plant financial performance in various forums as required.
Supervise the department to ensure timely and accurate completion of DN accounting activities, including fixed asset management, inventory valuation, product costing, period reporting, budgeting, and overall asset and liability control.
Ensure appropriate support of CETs divisional requirements and Corning Finance functions.
Ensure a strong internal control environment. Comply with GAAP and Corning accounting policies. Maintain documentation in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
Other functions and projects as assigned in support of plant and company operations.

Generally Mon - Fri, 40 -hour work week, additional hours as needed
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
Required Years and Area of
Experience:
7 -10 years of relevant experience

Ability to be comfortable interacting and communicating with all aspects of the business, including plant staff and senior managers.
